ART.Cy is pleased to announce the participation of Jai Mitchell at the upcoming ART.Cy 2026 Art Exhibition & Conference, taking place at the Amara Hotel on 14–15 March in Limassol.
Jai Mitchell is an American multidisciplinary visual artist whose practice centers on painting as a powerful vehicle for healing and personal transformation. A self-taught creator, Mitchell draws deeply from his own lived experiences, producing layered abstractions infused with symbolic imagery that reflect trauma, resilience, and spiritual renewal. His works function as emotional landscape where fear, anxiety, and vulnerability are not hidden, but confronted and ultimately reshaped into narratives of growth and rebirth.
Often described as a “soul portraitist,” a term highlighted by Nicola Kuhn in Der Tagesspiegel, Mitchell’s work channels an intense psychological depth reminiscent of Edvard Munch. Rather than depicting the external world, he turns inward, translating inner turmoil and breakthrough moments into expressive compositions that resonate with viewers on a deeply human level. His art speaks to shared emotional struggles, offering a sense of connection and catharsis.
Mitchell has exhibited internationally in cities including Berlin, Barcelona, Milan, and Washington, DC, as well as in the digital sphere of the Metaverse. His works are held in private collections across the United States, Canada, and Europe.
His participation in ART.Cy 2026 is inviting audiences to experience painting not only as visual expression, but as a journey toward healing and self-reclamation.
