Artist Spotlight: Georgios Damianidis at ART.Cy 2026

Georgios Damianidis was among the participating artists at ART.Cy 2026, presenting a distinctive body of work that merges natural forms with engineered light. His sculptures stood out for their originality, material sensitivity, and the dialogue they create between the organic and the constructed.

Inspired by objects discovered during daily walk, he transforms overlooked materials into illuminated sculptural pieces. Each piece is handcrafted and guided by the material itself, resulting in unique light sculptures that cannot be replicated. Through this process, Georgios Damianidis creates works that exist between nature and technology, offering a quiet reflection on form, time, and transformation.
