Ioannis Macheriotis presents solo exhibition Still Life at Gloria Gallery

Gloria Gallery in Nicosia will host the solo exhibition Still Life by artist Ioannis Macheriotis, running from 16 to 30 September, 2025.

Macheriotis, born in Nicosia, studied Business Administration in London before living in Athens for nearly two decades. In 2008, he formally turned to painting, training with established artists in Athens and Cyprus. Since then, he has built a strong presence in the art scene, holding nine solo shows prior to this and participating in 18 group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad. His works are held in private collections both locally and internationally.

The exhibition Still Life features objects from Macheriotis’ personal collection, depicted with the chiaroscuro technique—an interplay of light and shadow rooted in the Renaissance tradition. The approach lends his paintings a vivid three-dimensional quality and a sense of realism.

This marks the artist’s tenth solo exhibition in Cyprus. The official opening will take place on Tuesday, 16 September, 2025, at 19:30 at Gloria Gallery, Zenonos Sozou 3, Nicosia.
