Sicilia Shine

Sicilia Shine is a Russian-Cypriot multidisciplinary artist and interior designer, born in Ukraine, raised and educated in Moscow, Russia, and living in Cyprus for the past 20 years, a country she loves and calls her second home. Her creative path—always rooted in drawing, dance, and music—spans illustration, photography, sculpture, video art, and VR art. She exhibited ink and wash works in Cyprus from 2009 to 2011, and her pieces found homes in private collections across Cyprus, the UK, and the US.

 

After a period devoted to interior design, Shine returns to painting with a mature, recognizable style, using acrylics on large-scale canvases, which she calls Archetypal Futuristic Abstraction. Now, at the center of her artistic focus, she embarks on introspective journeys—exploring emotions, inner states, and subtle rhythms.

In her paintings, broad movements of color capture the pulse of life, with translucent depth and a multi-dimensional flow, where harmony is the natural resting state. Memory, breath, and energy intertwine, inviting the viewer into a finely attuned space—one that encourages reflection, recalibration, and the discovery of an inner anchor.

 

Standing before these artworks and immersing in their airiness, depth, and emotional resonance, viewers are not only invited to observe but also to feel—to embark on an inner journey, allowing the subconscious to surface familiar archetypal images from within.
