Venetian Blue at Yerambellos Art Studio: Kedares 2-12 November 2025

To celebrate the invitation to participate at the Venice Biennale 2026, Yorgos Papadopoulos will present his blue-themed glass artworks at Yerambellos Art Studio, Kedares. The exhibition opens on 2 November and will remain on display until 12 November. Visits will be by appointment only.

About the artists

 

Yorgos Papadopoulos is a distinguished glass artist celebrated for his innovative techniques and distinctive approach to the medium. He pursued Art & Design and Interior Design at Middlesex Polytechnic in London, earning a BA (Hons) in Interior Design in 1993. Furthering his studies, he obtained an MA in Ceramics & Glass from the Royal College of Art in London in 1999.

 

Throughout his career, Papadopoulos has received several awards and scholarships, reflecting his contributions to the field of glass art. He was shortlisted for the Bombay Sapphire Prize in 2004 and received a Crafts Council Setting-up grant in 2000. In 2021, he was awarded 1st Prize at the European Glass Context, with the corresponding exhibition held at Bornholm Kunstmuseum in Denmark.

 

In addition to his artistic practice, Papadopoulos has engaged in various teaching and lecturing roles. He has served as a visiting lecturer at institutions such as the Royal College of Art in London and conducted masterclasses at the Pilchuck Glass School in Seattle, USA.

 

His works are held in both private and public collections globally, including the British Airways Art Collection at Heathrow Terminal 4 in the UK.
