The Andreas Pittas Art Characterisation Laboratories (APAC Labs) of the Cyprus Institute to participate in ART.Cy 2026

ART.Cy is glad to announce the participation of The Andreas Pittas Art Characterisation Laboratories (APAC Labs) of the Cyprus Institute in the upcoming ART.Cy 2026 Art Exhibition & Conference, set to take place at the Amara Hotel on 14–15 March 2026.

The Andreas Pittas Art Characterisation Laboratories (APAC Labs) operate under the Cyprus Institute, serving as a leading research facility dedicated to the scientific study and analysis of cultural heritage materials. The laboratory combines advanced technology with interdisciplinary expertise to investigate artworks, archaeological objects, and historic materials at both micro and macro levels.

APAC Labs specialize in non-destructive and minimally invasive analytical techniques, allowing researchers to uncover invaluable information about the composition, structure, and degradation of artworks without compromising their integrity. Their work supports art historians, conservators, museums, collectors, and cultural institutions in authentication, conservation planning, and historical research.

Through cutting-edge instrumentation and scientific methodologies, APAC Labs contribute significantly to the preservation, understanding, and safeguarding of cultural heritage in Cyprus and internationally, bridging the gap between science and art.
