ART.Cy 2025 proudly welcomes renowned Lebanese visual artist, educator, and cultural advocate Rita Dagher Mekanna. With over 25 years of experience, Rita brings a deeply expressive body of work and a lifelong commitment to artistic education and cultural dialogue.
Founder of the acclaimed L’Atelier des Beaux-Arts – Rita D. Mekanna, a certified academy that has mentored over 8,850 students and organized more than 122 exhibitions, Rita has shaped generations of creatives across Lebanon, Dubai, and Cyprus. Her unique artistic voice—poetic yet powerful—explores the human condition, nature, and the metaphysical through mixed media, sculpture, and modern linear compositions.
At ART.Cy 2025, Rita will unveil a series of bold, interactive triptychs with movable circular elements—inviting audiences into a tactile meditation on rhythm, transformation, and geometry.
A former host of the Young Artist program on Lebanon’s New TV and a Fine Arts educator at premier institutions, Rita’s influence stretches far beyond her studio. She actively supports intercultural and women’s initiatives through her leadership roles in the Maronite Archeparchy of Cyprus and the broader Francophone community.
Her works have been exhibited across Lebanon, France, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the U.S., and Cyprus, and are held in private collections worldwide.
