Marleen Lorek to participate in ART.Cy 2026

ART.Cy is pleased to announce that Marleen Lorek will take part in the ART.Cy 2026 Art Exhibition & Conference, set to take place at the Amara Hotel on 14–15 March 2026.

Marleen Lorek is a German-born abstract mixed-media artist who has made Cyprus her home. With more than two decades of creative exploration, she has developed a distinctive visual language rooted in texture, structure, and material experimentation. Her artistic journey has been strongly influenced by her earlier professional experience in live event lighting technology, which shaped her sensitivity to illumination, atmosphere, and spatial perception.

Working primarily on canvas, Marleen builds richly layered surfaces using acrylics and a variety of structural materials. Her practice often incorporates unconventional elements, including handmade paper and reclaimed denim.

Her collections range from coastal-inspired abstractions reflecting Mediterranean light and landscape to works that explore transformation and renewal through repurposed textiles.

Admission to ART.Cy 2026 is free, and everyone is warmly invited to explore the exhibition and meet the participating artists on 14–15 March, from 11:00 to 21:00.
