ART.Cy is thrilled to announce that Maria Kyprianou, the renowned Cypriot ceramic sculptor, will be presenting her work at this year’s event.
Based in the historic centre of Limassol, Kyprianou is celebrated for her large-scale ceramic sculptures that explore the expressive power of clay. Her distinctive approach often features evocative female figures, drawing inspiration from mythology, fairytales, and timeless cultural motifs.
Initially trained in painting, she transitioned to sculpture under the mentorship of respected Cypriot artists Pambos Michalis and Panicos Spanos, developing a tactile, intuitive relationship with her medium. Her work blends tradition with contemporary vision, offering a sculptural language that is deeply rooted yet forward-looking.
Following the success of her 2024 solo exhibition From Soil at Gallery Morfi, Kyprianou brings her latest pieces to ART.Cy—inviting audiences to engage with ceramic art that tells stories of identity, memory, and transformation.
Don’t miss the chance to experience her powerful, poetic sculptures in person at ART.Cy.
