Larnaca Biennale have announced the theme for the event’s fifth edition, set to take place from October 13 to November 26, 2027, in Larnaca. The upcoming edition will centre on the concept “Metatopies: Geographies in Motion,” exploring ideas of movement, belonging, borders and shifting identities through contemporary art.

Artists from around the world will be able to submit proposals through the biennale’s official website between June 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027. Organisers also confirmed that a separate open call for parallel cultural events including theatre, music, dance, lectures and workshops will run from July 1 to October 31, 2026.

The biennale is considered one of Cyprus largest international contemporary art events, attracting thousands of visitors and artists.
