Gallery Spotlight: Philippos Yiapanis at ART.Cy 2026.


Philippos Yiapanis was among the participating artists at ART.Cy 2026, presenting a selection of his sculptural works. His pieces stood out for their expressive forms and timeless presence, drawing significant attention from visitors throughout the exhibition.

 

Philippos Yiapanis is one of Cyprus’ most respected sculptors, known for his bronze and marble works inspired by nature, mythology, and the human form. Born in Famagusta in 1957, his largely self-taught practice spans decades of artistic exploration, with international exhibitions and notable distinctions, including recognition from the International Olympic Committee for Sports & Arts. His sculptures are displayed in public spaces across Cyprus and in private collections worldwide.

 

Philippos Yiapanis’ work reflects a deep connection to material and form, creating powerful compositions that resonate with both classical influence and contemporary expression.
