The Limassol Municipal Arts Centre – Apothikes Papadaki will host exhibition titled Visual Testimonies - 70 Years Journey in Art, opening on 19 September.

 

This exhibition brings together seven decades of artistic creation, offering audiences a vivid and colorful journey through the artist’s life and work. More than just an exhibition, it is a personal testimony that traces the evolution of artistic expression across time, styles, and experiences.

Daphne Trimikliniotis, born in Limassol in 1945, is a distinguished Cypriot painter whose career spans more than seventy years. After moving to London in 1959, she studied at Hornsey College of Art and lived abroad for 35 years before returning to Cyprus in 1996. Her work, often marked by vivid color and expressive figurative elements, reflects both personal journeys and wider social concerns.

 

Over the decades, she has held fifteen solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group shows in Cyprus, the UK, Greece, and internationally. Beyond her studio practice, Daphne Trimikliniotis has illustrated books, contributed to graphic arts and advertising.

 

The exhibition will open on Friday, 19 September at The Limassol Municipal Arts Centre – Apothikes Papadaki.
