Chris Kakoulli to participate in ART.Cy 2026

ART.Cy is delighted to announce the participation of Chris Kakoulli at the ART.Cy 2026 Art Exhibition & Conference, taking place at the Amara Hotel on 14–15 March 2026.

Chris Kakoulli is a contemporary visual artist whose practice seamlessly bridges stencil-based street art and fine art painting. His work delves into themes of mental health, emotional endurance, isolation, and human vulnerability, transforming deeply personal experiences into compelling visual narratives that resonate on a universal level. Through his art, Kakoulli creates space for reflection, inviting viewers to engage with emotions that are often left unspoken.

A distinctive aspect of his practice is the use of stencil techniques. Through carefully cut forms and layered compositions, he captures fleeting expressions and subtle gestures with striking clarity. This method allows him to distill complex emotional states into essential shapes, producing imagery that communicates immediately while retaining depth and nuance. Though rooted in street art traditions, his work carries a refined sensibility that translates powerfully within gallery settings.

Kakoulli’s restrained grey-scale palette has become a defining element of his visual language. Rather than serving as an absence of color, his tonal range of greys operates symbolically—reflecting emotional tension, introspection, and the delicate space between despair and hope. When color is introduced, it is intentional and purposeful, guiding the viewer’s emotional response and heightening the narrative impact of each piece.
