Artist Spotlight: Maria Coraka at ART.Cy 2026

Maria Coraka was among the participating artists at ART.Cy 2026, presenting a poetic and conceptually driven body of work that explores the relationship between the human figure, space, and time. Her compositions stood out for their introspective depth and philosophical sensitivity.

Born in London to a Cypriot mother and a father of Franco-Greek descent, and having studied in Urbino and Venice, her practice is shaped by a rich cultural and artistic background. Poetry forms an integral part of her artistic expression, extending her visual language into words and thought. Through her work, she invites viewers to reflect: if time condenses into the present, then what is space?
