Maria CORACAS

Born in London to a Cypriot mother and a father of Franco-Greek descent, and coming from a family of artists in painting and music, she studied in Italy, in Urbino and Venice.

Her work explores the relationship between the human figure, space, and time as interdependent dimensions of existence, with ‘time distortion’ as a central thematic axis.

Poetry also forms an integral part of her creative expression.

If time condenses into the present,  then what is space?
