Aristos CHRISTOFOROU

Aristos Christoforou is a Cypriot artist based in Limassol, known for his innovative approach to figurative art, blending classical influences with contemporary surrealism. His work explores the dynamic relationship between form, movement, and emotion, using oils and charcoal to create compositions that challenge the boundaries of realism and abstraction.

Christoforou’s artistic journey began early, enrolling in formal art education at the age of seven. His passion led him to pursue a BA in Fine Arts at the University for the Creative Arts in Canterbury, UK, where he graduated with honors.

His body of work includes series such as "Mega Alexandros" and "The Labours of Hercules Reimagined", which reinterpret historical and mythological figures through modern allegories of resilience, identity, and transformation.

His art has been exhibited internationally in Cyprus, London, Marseille, and Milan, with pieces held in private and corporate collections across Europe.

Beyond painting, Christoforou also engages in tattoo art, installations, illustrations, and design. He is active in arts education, leading seminars, workshops, and lectures to inspire emerging artists.

With an ever-evolving artistic practice, Christoforou continues to push the boundaries of contemporary figurative art, offering a dialogue between the classical and the modern.
