Joanna Lapuszek

joannalapuszek@gmail.com

Joanna Lapuszek is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work includes painting, graphic arts, sculpture, photography, interior design, and metalwork. She holds a Doctor of Fine Arts degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, Poland (2013), where she also completed a three‑year PhD program.

Her artistic path also includes teaching experience, including roles as art instructor with the Paphos Youth Theatre (2011, 2013), and early academic work as Assistant in the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow. She is a long‑standing member of Polish artists’ associations, has curated exhibitions, and has been involved in international art projects and festivals.

Lapuszek’s art reflects a fluid interplay between abstraction and figurative representation. Her works are not realistic depictions but rather dynamic, expressionistic forms inspired by nature - the sea, sky, and organic environments. Through bold colour and structural abstraction, her pieces evoke emotional resonance rather than literal scenes. Colour serves as the primary building block of her visual language, interpreted not only from studio observation but as a reflection of lived experience and the natural world.
